BGIF Team Visit in Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan (1st September 2025)
A sixteen-member delegation from the Bharat Global Industries Forum (BGIF) visited Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan (SSS) at Gyan Kunj, ITO, where they were welcomed by Prof. Pradeep Chauhan (General Secretary), Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur, and Prof. Vikas Singh (Secretaries). Dr. Kaur introduced the team, while Prof. Chauhan outlined the vision and mission of the institute.
He highlighted that India’s development has bypassed the manufacturing phase, leading to a “jobless economy,” with over 60% of GDP driven by services. He emphasized the need to strengthen the manufacturing sector, encourage start-ups in this domain, and transform the economy into an employment-generating one. He also noted that several recommendations from Swadeshi Shodh were reflected in the 2019 Union Budget.
Prof. Chauhan elaborated on the role of Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan in grassroots-level policy advocacy, stressing that Swadeshi extends beyond buying Indian goods, embodying sovereignty, cooperation, and the philosophy of “Ekatm Manavvaad” (Integral Humanism). He recalled Shri Dattopant Thengdi ji’s role in laying the foundation of the movement.
Dr. Compesh Pannu explained the institute’s verticals, and the BGIF team expressed interest in collaboration while offering suggestions for the institute’s growth. The visit concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur.
