Visit of Capt. B. K. Tyagi (MD, Shipyard Corporation of India) to Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan (SSS)
The Managing Director of the Shipyard Corporation of India, Capt. B. K. Tyagi, visited Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan (SSS)/Gyan Kunj on 21st November 2025. The guests were welcomed by the dignitaries of Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan, including Shri Satish Kumar (Seh-Sangathak, Swadeshi Jagran Manch), Prof. Pradeep Chauhan (General Secretary, Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan), Shri Satish Chawla (Chairman, Swadeshi Swavlamban Nyas), Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur (Secretary, SSS), Shri Ankit Sharma (Sangathak, SSS), Prof. Suresh Kumar (Co-head, Delhi Chapter), Prof. Rajinder Kumar (Head, Punjab Chapter), and the researchers of SSS.
The guest was introduced by Shri Satish Chawla ji, who highlighted his achievements in life and within the corporation. Following this, SSS was introduced to the guest by Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur through an insightful power-point presentation, in which she outlined the mission and vision of SSS and introduced the core team, chapters, and activities of the Sansthan.
Later, the guest of honour, Capt. B. K. Tyagi, addressed the researchers and congratulated the Sansthan for its remarkable mission and vision. He also highlighted the mission of the Shipyard Corporation for 2030, where they aim to achieve 20% (currently 12%) of the world’s shipment share and position Bharat as the number one nation by 2047.
Then, Shri Satish Kumar ji has given his concluding remarks. On behalf of SSS, he welcomed the guest to the Sansthan and appreciated such visits. He stated that the mission of the Government, the Shipyard Corporation, and SSS is aligned with the common goal of “Vision 2047: Prosperous and Great Bharat.” He appreciated the clarity of vision demonstrated by the Shipyard Corporation and Capt. Tyagi for the coming years.
The visit wrapped up with high tea and healthy discussions between the guest and the researchers.
