On the proud and historic occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India, Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan organised a programme titled “Tiranga Bandhan Karyakram” on 26 January 2026. The event was held with the objective of commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India and reinforcing the enduring ideals of sovereignty, unity, nationalism, and swadeshi that define the spirit of the Indian Republic.
Republic Day stands as a reminder of India’s transition from colonial subjugation to constitutional self-governance. In this spirit, the Tiranga Bandhan Karyakram sought to reconnect citizens with the historical struggles, sacrifices, and values that laid the foundation of independent India. The programme reflected deep respect for the nation, its freedom fighters, and the collective responsibility of citizens towards building a self-reliant and conscious society.
The programme was graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries and guests, including Honourable Shri Kashmiri Lal ji (Akhil Bharatiya Sangathan, Swadeshi Jagran Manch), Dr Sarabjeet Kaur (Secretary, Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan), Shri Satish Kumar ji (Akhil Bhartiya Seh-Sangathak, Swadeshi Jagran Manch), along with Ms Archana, Mr Rajiv, Mr Jitendra, Mr Lakshman, and several other eminent members.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Kashmiri Lal ji spoke at length on the historical and emotional importance of 26 January and 15 August, describing both days as profound milestones in the national journey. He remarked that Republic Day is not merely a ceremonial observance, but a moment of collective remembrance, one that compels citizens to reflect upon the painful realities of colonial rule. He recalled how generations of Indians endured immense suffering, humiliation, and hardship during the period of colonisation, yet never allowed the spirit of resistance to fade.
He highlighted the courageous sacrifices made by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and countless other freedom fighters, who placed the nation above all. He said that these revolutionaries drew extraordinary strength from their unwavering devotion to the motherland, willingly embracing sacrifice when it came at the price of national independence. Their legacy continues to inspire strength, courage, and self-respect among Indians even today.
The sentiment of adopting Swadeshi goods echoed throughout the event and emerged as a central theme, closely intertwined with patriotism and national responsibility. Attendees present at the event vowed their commitment to promoting indigenous products and ideas, echoing the idea that freedom is truly incomplete without economic and cultural self-reliance. The resolve to choose domestic markets and Indian-made goods was reaffirmed through chants of, “Jai Swadeshi, Jai Hind” “Bazaar jaayenge, Swadeshi saaman laayenge. Chinese vastu chodh kar, bolo Vande Mataram” Attendees also voiced their determination to consciously reject foreign dependence, declaring with conviction that the path forward lies in embracing swadeshi alternatives, guided by the spirit of “Vande Mataram” and “Jai Hind.”
The Tiranga Bandhan Karyakram concluded on a note of unity. By recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reaffirming dedication to Swadeshi values, the programme successfully reminded everyone of their responsibility as citizens of a sovereign republic.
The event was a meaningful way to honour India’s constitutional values and freedom struggle, strengthening the promise to uphold national pride, self-reliance, and unity. Through such initiatives, Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan fosters patriotism and preserves the foundational beliefs of the Indian Republic.
