At the inauguration of new production lines for Tejas and HTT-40 in Nashik, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh affirmed India’s ambition to move from 65% domestic defence manufacturing to full self-reliance. He warned that import dependency creates strategic vulnerabilities and pledged fiscal and policy support.
