Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Safran Electronics & Defence (SED), France, have inked a Joint Venture Cooperation Agreement to produce the precision-guided HAMMER air-to-ground weapon in India. The 50:50 JV will localise manufacturing, aiming for 60% indigenisation, with BEL handling final assembly, testing and supply to the Indian Air Force and Navy.
