Launched in 2024, India’s Aditya-L1 satellite will observe the Sun during its 2026 solar maximum, when eruptions peak and threaten satellites, grids, and communications. Equipped with the VELC camera, it will study solar storms to improve space weather prediction, positioning India as a key player in global solar research.
