The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in collaboration with Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), successfully tested a fighter-aircraft escape system using a high-speed rocket-sledge at the Rail-Track facility in Chandigarh. The test validated canopy severance, ejection sequencing and full aircrew recovery — placing India among the few nations with advanced in-house ejection-seat testing capability.
