The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) revealed that audits using artificial intelligence and machine learning detected many fraudulent cases in state welfare and beneficiary schemes. Remote auditing tools helped expose misuse of funds and ineligible claims. The CAG plans to expand digital audits nationwide for greater accountability.
